The most durable and flexible leather there is. It stretches to the shape of your foot and gains a patina with every year of wear.
Made once, worn for decades
Built to be rebuilt.
Because the welt is stitched rather than glued, the sole can be taken off and replaced, again and again. When the sole wears out, the shoe doesn't. A pair bought once can be resoled and worn for decades, which is the difference between footwear that is replaced and footwear that is kept.
